Simplon delivers hands-on educational programs for self-taught learners
Our programs aim to provide students with the technical skills to start a new career or gain entrepreneurial skills.
To empower people of all diversities with the new technology skills and opportunities they need to build careers that create a better future for themselves, their communities and the world.
Create local jobs for local people by providing technical, talent training that leads directly to employment.
Since 2014 we organized 40 events with 1766 participants. Through our workshops, 261 adults have been trained and 285 kids started coding. Our message has reached 3000 people through social media and more than 1 million people through all the media coverage. Here you can check our annual reports and impact in 2015 and 2014. We've selected 12 participants out of 102 for the coding boot camp and offered them almost 100 hours of training.
Today 94% of our graduates are employed and work in IT companies. For 2016 we want to extend our activities to reach more people, teach more kids, involve more companies and have a stronger impact.
WHY SHOULD YOU SUPPORT SIMPLON?
“Programming is a key skill in the 21st century similiar to reading and writing has become over the last few hundred years. Simplon has made that skill accessible to a broader set of people - who have not gone through the traditional IT university system. I highly congratulate them on the approach and am stunned by the results they were able to achieve in such a short time. This is truly an example to allow people to take their own fortune in their own hands."
